RRB NTPC Selection Process

The selection process for RRB NTPC recruitment is divided into several steps. It includes Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT-I), Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT-II), Typing Skill Test (only required for some posts), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination.

  • Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT-I): The first step is to pass the Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT-I). It is a 100-question examination that candidates need to answer within 90 minutes. I have mentioned the RRB NTPC CBT-I examination format and its complete syllabus.
  • Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT-II): The candidates who passed the CBT-I will be eligible to appear in the CBT-II examination. CBT-II is also a computer-based test containing 120 questions; you will get 90 minutes to answer them.
  • Typing Skill Test (TST): Some posts require a typing skill test. So, candidates must pass this test and only be eligible for that post.
  • Document Verification: Candidates who passed the above test will be called for document verification. The railways board member will verify all your documents, such as your mark sheet, caste certificate, and other necessary documents.
  • Medical Examination: The final stage is the medical examination. The railways board will send you to an authorized railway hospital for medical examination. Candidates who pass all these stages will finally join the Indian Railways and be posted at their respective stations or divisions.
